Want to drive one way across the border?
One-way rentals are allowed if driving between the US and Canada; however, driver regulations may apply. For example, if a driver with a Canadian driver’s license plans to rent a vehicle in Canada and return it to the US, the law requires that they rent and drive a car with a Canadian license plate. Only certain locations allow you to drive your rental car from the US to Mexico, and additional insurance is required for these reservations. Vehicles rented in Mexico cannot be driven in the US.
Do you need flexibility? Update the date and time of your reservation to find the cheapest one-way car rental rates. All car categories can be reserved for a one-way rental, but prices vary by location, vehicle, date, and availability. Book early to make sure the category of car you want to drive is available. Keep in mind that the pick-up and drop-off dates you enter in your reservation are taken into account to calculate your rate.
